On Friday, 12th November, the chamber held its first event that was exclusively for the benefit of Small Micro Medium Enterprises and Young Professionals. The evening was at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Ban Chang and was a great success with well over 20 attendees.
Graham Macdonald, Chairman of the SATCC, said the idea was the brainchild of Steve Fraser who heading up the newly formed SATCC Eastern Seaboard (ESB) Group. Andre Coetzee who is Steve’s right hand man also offered the Outback Bar to be the venue for like-minded events held in Pattaya. This was gratefully accepted.
Graham then introduced Anerida Coetzee who will be in charge of the SATCC Young Professionals (YP) Group and Khun Sakda (Bright) Raemwanith who will look after the YP on the ESB.
In his opening remarks, Graham explained the ethos behind the idea in that there were many people at the event who had decades worth of experience or business and working in Thailand. The Chamber would be happy to mentor anyone who wanted help at no cost – apart from Chamber membership which is only THB5,000 every six months for those eligible. It would also allow those people to take advantage of everything else the chamber offered thus benefitting their companies and expanding their networking capabilities
The next event will be at the Lord Nelson on Friday, 14th January 2022.
